St. Patrick a 5th-century Englishman taken as a slave to Ireland. He escaped but returned as a missionary in Ireland. He used shamrocks to explain the holy trinity as he founded over 200 churches in Ireland. He died on March 17th, 461 in Saul where he built his first church.
