One takeaway from this US State Dept report is the detrimental impact of Somaliland continuing to accommodate diplomatic staff based out of Mogadishu.
We now have another undeniable datapoint. By accepting this arrangement, @somalilandmfa is actively enabling the status quo.
Hungry Somali refugees in Dadaab, Kenya, rush to collect sacrificial meat during Eid Al Adha, forcing guards to fire into the air to disperse the crowds.
Hosting over 300,000 Somalis that fled the civil war and ongoing conflict, the Dadaab camp is the second largest refugee settlement in the world and reportedly faces its driest period in terms of donations and funding.
With food alone being scarce, donations of sacrificial animals through Muslim charities remain as the only source of meat for the inhabitants.
Congress mandated @StateDept to provide a report on potential areas for improved #USA🇺🇲 engagement with #Somaliland. What it got was two double-spaced pages regurgitating deep-state bureaucratic pablum about the claims of the unelected regime of the #Somalia🇸🇴 failed state. Sad!
Can the USA dictate Somaliland's status. 😆 🤣 😂 faqash are desperate. They know the politicians of Somaliland are incompetent
He who laughs last laughs best.
I don’t really consider this as “improvement” it is actually quite the opposite. The Republic of Somaliland’s Government not “Authorities” Accepting for the US to label you as a part of “somalia’s territorial integrity” is a disastrous mistake.
Subhanallah!

Somalians and their President use the religion card when it suits them.
On 5th July 2016, Times of Israel reported that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and three other Somalian officials came to Tel Aviv on a short visit and met there with Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.
