@RavensSalaryCap I assume they only add the void year if they feel confident that an extension is looming? Otherwise they are exposing themselves to too much risk long-term?
@FilmstudyRavens I think the extended injury may be to Humphrey, not Hamilton. So, I think you're getting the favored outcome... but maybe not for a good reason.
I think another move has to be coming at EDGE.
@FilmstudyRavens@RavensSitRoom@UKRavens@scottishravens@TheGermanFlock@DutchFlock Completely agree with punt on the 4th & 1 (Q2, 2:00) - Multiple negative outcomes (e.g., failure to convert) were the only way CLE would have won. The interesting question to me: Win Probability delta btwn 5yd delay of game with three TOs vs two TOs and the 5yds.
@jeffzrebiec Is there any chance they go into the game with just two TEs (with Likely and Ricard most likely out)? Mitchell-Paden or Scott a more likely activation if not?
@RavensSalaryCap Feels like a two year deal with an option to extend after that? Overall, for Stanley, it's probably a two-year deal for $44M, but functionally gives the Ravens a team option in the third year that will likely convert to an extension if he plays well Y1 and Y2.
@ColeJacksonFB FA is the way you account for draft challenges (IMO). The Ravens consistently draft DBs well (with a rare exception). Spending on tier 1-2 DB FAs would be an anti pattern, and may not be where they need repairs that can’t be fixed with good college scouting.
@FilmstudyRavens@JSRFortunes Love Watts as a fit, both skill and culture. His sweet spot might be higher than 59, so it might have to be a trade up (~5-10 slots) to get him. Might take 128 and a little bit more? Trading back from the 1st feels unlikely with so many picks already and the need for blue chips
@FilmstudyRavens@RavensTalkPod It’s been discussed, but I find it unlikely that the Ravens trade/cut Andrews. I understand the financials, but it reminds me of Boldin (which BAL Brass has said they regret). They see Andrews as a culture / tone setter, along with exceptional play on the field #filmstudymailbag
@FilmstudyRavens@1057TheFan On OverTheCap, cutting Williams with a post-June 1 designation looks to save $12M in 2025 (more than the $5.3M with pre-June 1 designation). Any reason why you don't think they would use the post-June 1st? Spreading the hit over two years seems appealing with 2025 cap situation
@jeffzrebiec Have to think, after watching SNF, the decision was to preserve him against Barkley... given the Chargers have been relatively low in running efficiency all year.
@FilmstudyRavens@BCroxton99 There is an argument for it - what percent do you think they need to expect to convert to make a compelling argument? I have to think the number is closer to 70% than 50%.
@jacksettleman Ojulari for a 5th conditional and Campbell for a 7th conditional would do wonders. Taking a flier on Forbes is interesting too, but the first two are must gets.
@ColeJacksonFB Would you rather be giving a tired Washington snaps? Or Chris Wormley? ... Or how about Campbell? This is a no-brainer move to me as a depth piece. He's not a front-line guy, but a huge improvement for 20 snaps a game
