This is exactly my thought on the analytic/continental divide. Sure continentals vary and so do analytics; there is overlap and it's hard to draw the boundaries. But broadly they are distinct paradigms
There are enough broad similarities there – in temperament, method, influences, and so on – that many people find it useful to group them together under “analytic philosophy” and to distinguish them from “continental philosophy” despite the diversity of each category. 15/
Looking to meet newer cybersecurity people who are entry level in their first job or still studying. I'm about 3/4 the way through google's cyber course and would like to try to meet new friends to study with. Anyone have any pointers?
@matt_olma I'm trying to challenge your claim of ignorance (or whatever it is) since I don't think it's much different.
Maybe you think I definitely shouldn't be as confident as I am in these views. But for someone in my position, I guess I don't think it's a particularly weird claim
@matt_olma are not that far of from almost everyone disagreeing with me, and also that facts like "torture for fun is wrong" are much more well supported, then I don't think it's much of a stretch to think upping the disagreement from 95% to 100% would change all that much about it
