February 2024 | Final Recap
I learned a lot my first month posting picks. Started working on a tennis model. Going to continue to make picks without it to establish a baseline while I develop my statistical repertoire and my eye for tennis betting. Also hope to continue to form friendships here on X. That’s what makes this shit fun. Love you guys.
Please let's not even try to compare this streak to Djokovic's 2011 streak. The ELITE level of competition that Djokovic had to face in 2011 versus what Sinner is facing now are on two different planets. It's insulting to Novak to even compare the two.
Flavio Cobolli is such a high ceiling, low floor kind of player. The ceiling is a guy who’s one of the fastest, most powerful, most dynamic all-court power players with a suffocating offensive barrage that wins 500s. The low floor is the frustrating one-sided straight set losses to inferior players you see other weeks.
Arthur Fils, man. He’s so damn good. Top 10 player in the world easily for me. Great week for Jodar as well. The kid is going to be a problem. Just ran out of steam in the end today.
@dylonthoms I admittedly bet on Musetti for 1.5U at -120. Taking a risk with the form/injury concerns, but I’m cool with it considering Musetti’s motivation to defend all the points from last year’s clay swing and his polished performance yesterday vs. Moutet - seems like he’s comfortable.
New story live today. “Rendezvous, Stranger”: Southwest noir, omniscient POV, ~7k words. A cocaine-fueled stranger, a butcher’s granddaughter, a band saw, and a closing image I’ve been building toward since 2022. Free to read at https://t.co/iAQvc0v4LR. Tell me what you think.
Been writing fiction between matches for years. Finally published my first major story today — 'Rendezvous, Stranger,' a Southwest noir set in a desert town called De La Luna. ~7,000 words, free to read.

@ATPCommenter I love that idea. The Golden Swing is one of the best times of the year, imo. It's got real character and passion. Maybe move Indian Wells to before the Golden Swing, so it leads right into the Euro clay season.
@ATPCommenter But instead, they want to add tournaments in places where fans don't care about or show up. It's a joke. Money rules, and I get that, but adding the M1000 in South America could help. Those people LOVE their tennis.
Yeah that decision really bothers me. Not to mention, with all the discourse during Golden Swing about no top players playing it anymore. My opinion: make them, add a Buenos Aires or Rio M1000. Then guys will be more likely to play lead-up 250s as well.
@ATPCommenter Get rid of Miami, push the Clay season up a month. Add one month of grass. Get rid of Canada since Cincinnati is the USO lead up event most players tend to play. But instead they’re adding a HC event in Saudi Arabia 🤦♂️
We don’t talk enough about how ass cement tennis is compared to the natural surfaces. Get rid of Miami, replace with another M1000 on clay, and add 1 more clay-only month to the schedule. Get rid of Toronto/Montreal, replace with M1000 on grass, and add 1 more grass-only month.
Jannik Sinner should not have been able to negotiate an historically short 3 month ban.
He should not be playing before 2029.
And he most certainly should not be breaking any records, further perverting the history of Tennis.Imo
