Just heard the news about the lovely Tim Barlow. Some of our members worked for him many times over the years, such a gent with a great legacy of work. RIP Tim 😢
@NRCPD@ASLIuk @VLP_TerpTweets @ALAS_lips@IoCN_1@ALSLips @BIVR_TWEETS Along with others here not quite sure why registrants should be charged a fee for this?
@NRCPD@ASLIuk @VLP_TerpTweets @ALAS_lips@IoCN_1@ALSLips @BIVR_TWEETS @AVSTTR Surely this information should be provided free of charge to registrants, I’m not clear why we have to pay for this.
Our website is back up and running but unfortunately the email booking service is still down. Please email any STTR/captioning bookings to the Chair: [email protected], or you can contact us here or on our FB page.
Our Chair @JJacobieSTTR and member Jean Gough, with facilitation from @TutiHarrison, had a very successful weekend delivering the @SignatureDeaf STTR training course to a fab group. Once assessments are done soon, hopefully there’ll be more STTRs on the @NRCPD Register!
We are doing some research around gaps in communication support for deaf English users. We value your feedback on what you believe the problems are around access for deaf English users and what you would like to see happen in the future: https://t.co/QTi5581AGW (1/2)
@Breish_Rowe@natalyadell@NUBSLI@ASLIuk@ALSLips@ALAS_lips We don’t really do much in the way of medical appointment support and everything we do is still online these days but we would definitely need to be in the room if we were booked for one.
@efftheineffable Hi Jess, yes we’re all working online at the moment :) visit https://t.co/TWNBah6x0T and send out a request using the Book a a Reporter form.
@natalyadell@ImmyKaur@mycleartext@121captions Thank @natalyadell All our freelance STTR members can provide captions for various different online platforms and are happy to discuss this with you. visit https://t.co/TWNBah6x0T to contact our STTRs
Please confirm you are extending the SEISS. Our members, all freelance, can’t go back to work until mass gatherings are allowed eg conferences/events/meetings. SEISS has been amazing but needs to continue #AskRishi
We may lose professionals altogether if their self employed business isn’t sustainable. Bills don’t reduce. Energy bills and food need to be paid for. Keep the parity with furloughed employees #Equality
@RishiSunak Majority of our members can’t get back to work until mass gatherings are allowed. Same goes for @ASLIuk@ALSLips@NUBSLI@ALAS_lips@NRCPD Drop in eligibilty to £30,000 avg trading profits will cripple our members. Dropping the SEISS 80% to 60% would be less harmful
@RishiSunak I’ve heard the eligibility threshold for SEISS will drop to £30,000 - what about those of us who can’t go back to work because every day we work at mass gatherings eg conferences/events and there isn’t any work??
