Correct take. Can’t call a penalty, review the penalty, let the player finish the game, then give a suspension a week and a half later… not very professional for a professional organization

Can make a case for or against this suspension. Player safety is priority, but this seemed more reckless than malicious.

The bigger issue is continued disconnect from in-game punishments.

If this was awful enough for a suspension, why was it just 2 minutes and not an ejection?

@BrianL19 @upstreamlax Due to the flag, that essentially allows the goal to stand since (in the refs eyes), the flag is what caused the goalmouth violation. They don’t want defenders to purposefully push and crosscheck from behind if they know that it will automatically wipe out the goal.
