Q10: Maker day can be a great way to get many people involved! I got a few more ideas for my makers day as well!!! @MrJarrell22@tonnjp96 thank you for a great chat! #wemake19
Q9: Get the community involved with the school, including parents to do something different, have fun and gain some problem solving skills! And lets not forget, to build good relationships with our students and all people involved #wemake19
Q8: Having "team" projects for families to work on together and it would be a great idea to add a little competition in there and have students battle family/ community members in a project (example, Arduino kit project) #wemake19
Q7: My district's biggest push is for our students to become 21st century skilled learners, therefore making and tinkering fits perfectly with this and the projects completed would align #wemake19
Q6: I think to start it would be best to start small and involve a smaller group in one school to learn from before making it district wide. The goal would be for it to be a community day for all students and families. #wemake19
Q4: I think the number of people to be involved would depend on the amount of students but getting tech mentors, the tech director and librarians would be very beneficial! #wemake19
Q3: I know we have 3D printers in the library which would be great to tinker with. I would have to do more asking around for other resources within my school #wekmake19
Q2: Makerspaces are available in our school. We have pre engineering classes that are fully supported with makerspaces. But outside of those classes my school has not promoted makerspaces #wemake19
Q10: Tonight opened my eyes to the idea of having trash being treasures in a makerspace! It does not take much to use the design thinking process #wemake19

Q7: I have to say I go from teacher hat to student hat; which reminds me of what is it to learn something new and "regain" my empathy and sometimes I forget that because content comes natural me(and us in our comfort) problem solving is hard sometimes for all #wemake19
Q5: Elements of design are really everywhere in a culinary classroom! 1 ex: upper level students will compete to design a cookie cake w/a winter themed design to be judged by all faculty&staff. They get so into this project. They get to build, create and produce! #wemake19
@blau_dan great answer! Get's them out of the traditional school element and gives them something they are good at- problem solving because most of them do it everyday with the struggles they face #wemake19
Q4:I have to say it is amazing to see all students helping each others in groups. Inclusiveness is HUGE in my district and it really does show! Grouping is important- having leaders in groups to help with projects, such as, making helps! Small groups! #wemake19
