I’m so incredibly happy to announce that in our very first year, Jambar TV won first place for “Television News Show Overall Excellence” category in the national Society of Collegiate Journalists contest! I’m so proud of my crew for an amazing year, even though it was cut short.
Work-related wins this week: got a really heart-warming call from a source after an article I wrote was published, and I raised all of my company’s analytics on Facebook, Instagram AND YouTube this past month and week 🤩
my BIGGEST pet peeve as a reporter...
I mainly write business features, and without fail there’s ALWAYS a social media comment saying “where’s the address?”
Babe, it’s in the article just click the link!!!!!!! 😅🤯
Not a single comment saying RIP, we need to get the pandemic under control, so sorry to the families...nothing. Just people arguing about what THEY think a newspaper can and cannot publish.
I feel like I want to shake all of them and say “what’s really important?! ☹️
A local media outlet published an article attempting to honor all of the local lives lost to Covid-19 in 2020 and ALL of the comments on Facebook have to with “can the paper publish these names” “free press” etc etc. I hate it here.
@Jacob_Labendz Please share the recipe if you’re willing. My family is Polish and I’d love to make these with my great grandma when it’s safe for us to gather again!
When I schedule an interview, any time other than that allocated interview time I’m not mentally prepared for said interview.
Do I have my questions ready? Yes. Have I done my research? Yes. Will I go completely off script and jumble my words? Also yes.
