I disagree. Xbox sales in the UK have been climbing over the last couple of months. Forza Horizon 6 is obviously a huge reason why, but I also think Asha and the direction she’s taking Xbox deserve some credit.

The Game Pass price cut, UI and Achievements improvements, talk of Xbox getting back to what made people love the brand, and rumours of future exclusives have all helped restore confidence and excitement around Xbox.

There’s also been a noticeable increase in marketing. For years Xbox barely advertised anything. I almost never saw Xbox ads, but I’ve already seen Forza Horizon 6 promoted in multiple places.

The proof is in the pudding: make great games, make them exclusive, and advertise the hell out of them. People respond to that.

I mean, I agree with some of it. The gaming industry would be healthier if DEI wasn’t being pushed into everything.

That said, the moment I saw this, my first thought was that it’s pretty cool we get to play as Kratos’ dead wife.

I wasn’t a big fan of Ragnarok overall, but I did enjoy the Atreus sections because the combat felt fresh and different. This looks like a continuation of that, and more importantly, the enemies look massive, over-the-top, and completely ridiculous - exactly what you want from a fantasy game about gods.

To be honest, Colt, I think more and more PlayStation fans are starting to see through Sony’s BS. Every game feels like a variation of the last.

Wolverine should have been a dark, gritty thriller - more brutal, more intimate, and focused on the character. Instead, Insomniac appears to have taken the Spider-Man formula and simply swapped the suit. From what we’ve seen so far, it looks identical.

And beyond yet another God of War spin-off - one that, judging by the reaction online, few people were actually asking for - what else is there?

More and more PlayStation fans seem to be growing frustrated with the lack of variety and fresh ideas.
