Recently a video has surfaced of mosquito swarms around the river near Kharadi in Pune.

This was inevitable.

Yes, it is due to the RFD

We people who study ecosystems preserves for a long while had warned about this enough times,

More mosquitos breed in warmer temperatures and in contaminated water in which organisms such as fish, tadpoles and frogs can’t eat them or their larvae to fulfil their role in the ecosystem, similarly - snakes survive by eating frogs, the destruction of the riparian forest habitat is only going to ensure keystone species loss such as snakes and frogs and an increase of these swarms of pestilences.

Unfortunately this method of systems thinking is lost upon you, as also Chaiwalla’s and Rickshawalla’s who lead us today,

Led by them, people often miss the wood for the trees, they think that projects like the RFD won’t have such grave consequences.

Never mind the zero guilt that people feel while killing all these species & destroying a natural habitat while pouring concrete over it.

We envisioned this and have been opposing this monstrosity from the word go.
