being 16 and flying between high school in north carolina and working at a YC startup in SF is weird.

everyone in the room is older, smarter, and moving at 100mph.

the biggest lesson i learned in year one is that talent doesn't matter nearly as much as frustration tolerance.

when your code gets torn apart or something breaks at 2am, nobody slows down to make you feel better. you just fix it and keep moving.

then you sit in class on monday pretending you're only thinking about chemistry.

Emad is right that personal AI agents are the ultimate CAC to LTV play. tech twitter acts like the model just markets itself on day one.

8 months ago i was sitting in class with a C in precalc and did not even know what YC was.

when i told people i wanted to build startups, everyone clowned me. nobody around me did anything like that and i had zero credentials.

things shifted when i upgraded who i spent time with. being around founders who execute instead of debating edge cases reset my baseline, and i landed an ops role at @heymoonshot (YC-S26).

now the same kids who clowned me are in my dms asking for an internship.

growing my faith in God kept me grounded through the noise.

8 months ago, my entire motivation for building was money, status, and proving people wrong.

Putting my faith in God completely flipped that.

When you realize you are building for something bigger than yourself, the need to chase status or prove anything completely evaporates.

The quiet peace that comes with that is hard to explain.
