#HurricaneMilton aftermath: Devastation in the university area of #Tampa. @HCSOSheriff rescued a 14-yr-old clinging to a broken fence in flood water. Families waited on the 2nd level of their complex for water to recede. Others sat on their car. Homes, apts, belongings ruined.

#NOW: #HurricaneMilton devastated communities in the University area of Tampa. The first video is Fowler Ave. The second is a neighborhood a few blocks away, while we rode along on an airboat with @HCSOSheriff. Homes, apartments, cars, belongings are destroyed.

This is one of four boats blocking Shoal Line Blvd, which leads to the coastal areas of #HernandoCounty. Video shows the marina where they were initially docked. @HernandoSheriff and other emergency responders are assessing damage before allowing residents to return home.

Shoal Line Boulevard leading to the Hernando County coastal areas remains underwater. @HernandoSheriff Al Nienhuis says the storm surge from #HurricaneHelene caused devastating flooding. He considers it fortunate there were 18 rescues and no serious injuries so far.
