It happened twice. Both times, a genetic counselor calmly told my wife and me, "I want you to be aware of all your options, including termination.”

FRC's @DavidClosson shares his son's story - a testament to God’s power and faithfulness. https://t.co/vkuzLNFrk3

[David Closson @DavidClosson]

This might be the most personal article I’ve written, but Abby and I wanted to share our story to encourage others to trust the Lord, stand for life, and remember that every child—regardless of diagnosis, ability, or prognosis—is made in the image of God and worthy of love and protection.

"It happened twice. Both times, a genetic counselor calmly told my wife and me, “I want you to be aware of all your options, including termination.” For months, those conversations have replayed in my mind, bringing back the initial emotions of shock, anger, and horror. Now, as my wife and I prepare to meet our son in a matter of weeks, his story is already a testament to God’s power and faithfulness."

As we celebrate the victory of Christ over sin and death, may your heart be strengthened by the assurance that Jesus is risen and reigning. The same power that opened the tomb continues to open doors for the spread of the gospel today.

This week, the Department of Health and Human Services announced it is opening an investigation into 13 states for potential violations of the Weldon Amendment. According to HHS, these states may be coercing health care entities, such as insurers and health plans, to cover or pay for abortions in ways that could violate their religious or moral convictions. Tonight on Washington Watch, I discussed this important story and why it matters.

Not with confusion or reaction, but with a clear biblical worldview: Truth. Identity. Dignity.
