Today in the Assembly, I strongly demanded justice for Bhiwandi, where citizens pay the highest power tariff (₹11.10/unit) despite reducing distribution losses to just 9%. As Torrent Power’s agreement ends, I urged the Government to bring in multiple distribution companies like Tata or Adani to lower our bills through competition. To save our struggling powerloom sector, I also demanded extending the DFF Amnesty Scheme for another year and launching a One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for live connections. Our honest citizens deserve cheaper power and immediate financial relief!

A huge victory for our hardworking Pigmy Agents!
The 2.5% commission cap on urban and rural non-agricultural credit co-operative societies was a major injustice to lakhs of agents. I personally met the Hon. Co-operation Minister, submitted a detailed memorandum, and strongly demanded a hike to protect their livelihood.
I am extremely glad to share that the Co-operation Department has accepted our demand! The revised circular has been officially issued, increasing the Pigmy Agent commission to 3%.
Our persistent follow-up has successfully delivered justice to these grassroots workers!
