“धर्म अलग थे, पहचान अनजान थी… वो लूडो में मस्त थे और वो मासूम बच्चा मेरे कंधे पर चैन से सो गया। इंसानियत और अपनापन किसी धर्म के मोहताज नहीं। ये है मेरा देश और ऐसा रहा मेरा स्वतंत्रता दिवस 🇮🇳”

An old man is remembering the situation of the Muslims of Jalandhar and how they were killed in 1947 in Indian Punjab.

He witnessed the deaths of at least 10k Muslims with his own eyes, in which all Muslim girls, men, children, and the elderly, from a one-day-old baby to a 70-year-old man, were stripped naked, their hands tied, lined up in lines, and one by one their necks were cut and thrown into the Beas River.

If anyone wanted to rape a Muslim girl or woman, they would be taken to the trees, raped, and then killed.
