@StanleyVit7349@DrDadBuilder Last I checked those in the C-suite are employed with salaries that include admin call as part of employment. Private practice physicians aren’t employed and without a compensation agreement would be working for free and still assuming the risk.
@mcuban Get rid of insurance companies and set a national rate for every hospital to abide by for each procedure/billing code. Eliminate surprise charges. It shouldn’t be a mystery what a procedure or hospitalization costs.
@mcuban Sounds great to get rid of the middle man. What does the employee of the company do when they have a medical emergency and they aren’t near the hospital their employer negotiated with? What leverage does a small business have? What about self employed?
@txsportsdoc@realdocspeaks Not to mention after your first contract they change the terms of your of your contract not to the physicians benefit. And now you are stuck.
@realdocspeaks Yet the hospitals you work at have been making money off you taking call and taking care of patients at their facility. When we said we were going to resign from the medical staff unless we were compensated for call they gladly started paying to maintain the revenue stream
@DutchRojas If you are meaning mental toughness it would be better to say running a business is like running a marathon. You will have good miles and bad miles and you need the mental toughness to keep going. But being able to literally run a mile is not required.
@DerrickEvans4WV This is terrible but when the elderly keep signing up for Medicare advantage plans that routinely are denying admissions something needs to change. 2 hospitals in my rural area of the state are on verge of closing and several others aren’t far behind due to millions of losses.
@stkirsch I never received the flu vaccine until I got into medicine and never had any issues. Every year that I received the vaccine I would get severe symptom the flu. Over the last 8 years I’ve stopped getting the vaccine and have minimal to no symptoms.
@DrAdamBitterman Definitely. They know best what tests/WU is required prior to surgery more so than the medicine team. Prevents unnecessary testing and delays.
Chills! Powerful ad by @xx_xyathletics in honor of Real Womens Day tomorrow. 🔥🔥🔥
It's not hard to stand up for women and girls, so why won't @Nike just do it?
@olsonplanner Worked for me. Did in state schools over high dollar private undergrad and med school. No debt and job I wanted. Don’t understand those that chose a high dollar education for a lower paying career.
