@DCTian@csam_connect @fortuna_lisa Yes! As a the 1st born of a refugee father who fled Europe after the Holocaust, having such racist horrors shape my family impacted me at a very young age.
Being at #2022CSAM in-person has made me realize (again!) what I treasure about @csam_connect (& so missed during our isolation): our support of one another, our hugs, & our passion for helping the most stigmatized
Here is link to a FaceTime live video I did: https://t.co/8kiyWoSdrX @csam_connect will be having our first in person conference in 2 yrs in San Diego this mth!
Thanks everyone for your openness and passion for DEI in our field. I felt real community (despite Zoom). Special thanks to our hard working workshop committee for pulling off this Addressing Racial Bias in Addiction Treatment Systems of Care pre conference workshop! #2021CSAM

I‘m angry that my POC bretheren suffer racist brutality, worse $ & Covid threat. I see my brain rapidly activate ‘fight&flight’ & in that state, my full awareness-prefrontal cortex-is not on line. In calm, I bring awareness & wisely see the righteous action to address injustice.
