@SanaaMay4@beh353 Hi Sanaa, I think it’s a great plan to work with a nutritionist to make dietary plans for your patients. This collaborative/teamwork approach to healthcare makes for efficient patient treatment. @beh353#beh353
As a future PA, I plan to integrate nutrition into patient care by educating and guiding individuals on how diet impacts their health. From managing chronic diseases to promoting overall wellness, I am to empower patients with actionable, evidence based nutrition advice. @beh353
@Nutrition_gov I actually made this earlier this morning before going Black Friday shopping, and I didn’t have a headache and lasted the entire day without getting tired or fatigued. Highly recommend @beh353#beh353

Before I trust a nutrition post, I’m looking for credible sources like peer-reviewed studies or licensed dietitians, avoiding broad claims, and checking if they’re just trying to sell me something. @beh353#beh353
@JasmineA212@beh353 Hi Jasmine, that sounds absolutely delicious. I’m not a huge fan of carrots but I would give that a try after knowing all the health benefits in them. @beh353#beh353

@SNAP_Ed @USDANutrition Knowing what’s in our drinks is key! Brands often hide added sugars under different names. Spotting these can help us make healthier choices and avoid hidden sugars. @beh353#beh353
@SmethersEliza@beh353 Hi Eliza, you raise a great point that often times we see worse health conditions in skinny people than obese. It isn’t right for us to automatically assume all obese patients are ill because of their weight. @beh353#beh353
Clinician bias against obesity, as discussed in Michael Hobbes’ article, highlights the harm caused by stigma in healthcare. As a future provider, I am to focus on health over weight, treating patients with empathy and respect to avoid perpetuating shame. @beh353#beh353
@karalydonRD This delicious sauce is amazing topped on many dishes, and the Greek yogurt adds some protein! I’ve used it on some of my salads and highly recommend. @beh353#beh353

@SmethersEliza@beh353 Hi Eliza, I agree with you that fat shaming is just flat out wrong. It is important to note that we don’t know what’s happening with those overweight individuals, so judging is not the right mindset to have especially as future healthcare providers @beh353#beh353
Learning that fat shaming can harm health rather than help was eye opening. It can lead to increased stress among those obese individuals, which causes more weight gain. Moving forward, I’ll focus on promoting wellbeing over appearance in all my interactions @beh353#beh353
@TamarC227073@beh353 Hi Tamar, this looks so delicious and it sounds like a great idea to make something one day that will be healthy and sufficient for the entire week. Great way to stay consistent with healthy eating. @beh353#beh353
