@CFBwSam It’s either naivety or being purposely disingenuous to say it was primarily the SEC.
It’s safe to assume at a minimum 30-40 programs have always participating in some sort of payment to players. Easily the top several programs from every major conference that ever existed
@ReportBulldawg I get it; but there’s a general expectation each season that Georgia is elite on defense and they haven’t been since 23. Call them young, call them whatever, but they’ve underwhelmed for significant portions of the last 2 seasons.
@CFBwSam Don’t fall into the trap. Under this guy’s logic, a highschool coach making 60k/yr is profiting on unpaid labor as well. A HS coach is actually worse because college athletes at least live, eat, and go to school for free unlike HS kids.
@RMGBuckeye4Life Love the IU comments in here. It’s like they think the secret is only theirs and they’ll keep spending pennies on the dollar for good players from here on out. Cig knows. That’s why he said what he said the other day
@JaredStillman Because the coaches run programs in which many are estimated to be above a billion and the revenue from said football program funds all the other sports programs at the school.
@Underwood_szn Vast majority of Mich fans think 6-0 is some foregone conclusion. New coach + young and unproven QB + 4 tough games in 6 weeks = 2 losses. Expect yall to be playing better as the season goes on.
@birdlandmetrics It’ll be interesting to see if the best hitter (over the last several weeks) on the team and future star is even in the lineup tonight
@dbo360x Sec ain’t goin nowhere homie. I know the slander campaigns coming out of Fox, cbs, and nbc are pumping hard to tear the sec down, but it won’t work.
@dbo360x Hahaha, you’re citing playoff games you idiot. I’m referring to the straight deals that the sec has with ESPN and big with Fox. Those numbers throughout the regular season aren’t close
@dbo360x Yea that’s because they signed a 7bil deal with Fox. Not due to viewership because they’re getting smoked in that arena. Fox is losing their ass on that deal. Why do you think all these guys like klatt are banging the Big 10 drum so hard.
