If a teacher says “needs to try harder,” what they really mean is “could be doing better.” Those of us with ADHD hear that a LOT. #ADHD creates inconsistency in performance. But we’re often putting in more effort than our neurotypical peers. Try harder is actually terrible advice
When kids get an adhd diagnosis, often parents are left to educated themselves in ADHD. Knowing how to separate the good info from the bad info is vital. Ensure the info is research based & that the person or organization isn't trying to sell something helps. #ADHD#actionadhdnl
