@AnglianWater Given the current challenges with drought and the need to conserve water, will you be restarting your scheme to supply free or subsidised water saving devices? With dividends of Β£96.3M paid to shareholders in FY2021, it seems like a fair use of the FY2022 surplus.
@MikeChilvers1 Mike, it's now 16 hours since she was admitted. No change. Your nurses are doing what they can with the tools and manpower at their disposal, but it's not enough. Seriously, you need to come here and see what is happening in your Emergency department.
@MikeChilvers1 Mike, my partner gave birth a month ago. She was sent to A&E at Lister hospital at GP request last night. 15 hours later we're still sat in the A&E waiting room. She is very ill, nothing but a chair and hooked up to IV. Please, do better.
@RachaelCorser Rachael, my partner gave birth a month ago. She was sent to A&E at Lister hospital at GP request last night. 15 hours later we're still sat in the A&E waiting room. She is very ill, nothing but a chair and hooked up to IV. Please, do better.
@Usborne Do you think you'll ever do another print run of the "Book of the Future" series? First editions are changing hands for a lot of money now and I know a lot of people in their 30s and 40s who would buy a set if you re-released them! Go on Usborne, what do you say?
@NorthantsChief I don't think many people have a problem with police patrols out catching speeders and inconsiderate drivers, it's that camera vans cannot spot dangerous or inconsiderate driving, and it removes any scope for officer discretion where the speeding wasn't dangerous.
@SonOfKaleva@ianbremmer Can I suggest you read these petitions and resolutions that get voted against. Hint: there are mismatches between the title and content. I could write "Petition for SonofKaleva to have a nice life" and include "I will be allowed to kick him in the balls". Would you vote for that?
@SpiritWinds7@Oregonkato13@jackeparrock Do you even know who Jimmy Dore is? He's an alleged comedian who rambles incoherently about American political matters and doesn't even get his facts right for the matters he can see first hand. His views on Ukraine and Russia are hilariously ill-informed. Fail.
@FeistyMcbride @PolyglotPaul @jackeparrock True, although in WW2, Ireland showed different levels of neutrality to the Allies and the Axis... Helpful neutrality to the Brits, awkward neutrality to the Germans. No-one can accuse Ireland of being un-neighbourly.
@AlainenKans@Oregonkato13@jackeparrock Well scripted? It's a speech to the leaders of the EU, intended to achieve specific goals which will support his strategic aim of "don't lose Ukraine to Putin". It's not a drunken toast at a wedding, of course it's scripted. Were you expecting an ad libbed, meandering speech?
@Oregonkato13@jackeparrock Because he's a very intelligent, well-educated man who has travelled. There's nothing peculiar about a statesman being a good orator. He's in a literal do-or-die situation where the lives of the people he represents are at stake... That has given him focus and drive.
@ScotGovFM@NicolaSturgeon@Vanja_Filip@RemSrebScot Hey Nicola, when are you going to stop Saltire Seed from sending those 100 lorryloads of seed potatoes to Russia? Whilst Russia is creating a famine for Ukraine this year, you are signing off on feeding Russia. Shame on you.
@adambro@THINKgovuk The road tax one always amuses me... I sometimes cycle, and I pay over Β£2,000 a year in VED. Is there some sort of tax rebate for cyclists that I'm unaware of?
(should be said that I find other road users pretty courteous round here - but I'm doing low miles at quiet times).
@jimmerc25 @Plusnet I gave up on the Plusnet router and got a Fritz box - much more stable and is far more configurable. Plus it means I'm not tied to Plusnet when it comes time to renew. Apparently Zen give them out for free, wish I'd known back when I last renewed instead of sticking to Plusnet.
@NEWM4RKW5 @CMPG Seems likely; as someone who runs a few older cars it is part of the territory though - you either get breakdown cover or self-insure and accept that sooner or later you'll get stung and take it on the chin instead of risking everyone else's safety.
@daveXP@sarahkelly514 @CMPG @HighwayCodeGB Distress or desperation to get back? At 15mph? The more likely reason is the driver didn't want to pay for recovery and instead chose to put the lives of others at risk.
The purpose of these sort of tweets is to remind people of what to do / what not to do. I saw no smugness.
@CausticChicken @GeorgeTakei Hold on; a religion is a set of beliefs that adherants simply accept as "truth" without question. Covid measures are a logical approach to aim for the LEAST BAD outcome, based in fact, constantly tested and steered with a large and growing body of evidence. Ergo, not a religion.
@CausticChicken @GeorgeTakei Or she could, y'know, get vaccinated as one of the package of ways that she should be reducing the risk to her colleagues.
You can't compare it to religion; the COVID vaccine has facts and evidence behind it, and I'm yet to see AZ people declare war with the Modena crowd...
