MISADVENTURES IN AMERICAN HEALTHCARE
1. Doctor orders scan that's clearly indicated for patient & which they've had many times before (allowing for apples-to-apples comparison)
2. Despite order weeks in advance, receive denial day-before from insurer without any explanation
Parking validated at uw with free spots above the linac while on treat. 3.50 per hour would be a huge issue for our rural patients, some of whom struggle to make it in for fractionated treatments, as is.
"Average parking costs were $3.55/hr (median $2, range 0-$15), $7.79/day (median $5, range 0-$40). 20 centers (32%) offered completely free parking for pts."
2/3 of NCI centers were charging #cancer patients for PARKING & those costs can ADD UP #ASCO20

Cincinnati graduate class of 2015. We matched 5 rad oncs that year in the early stages of this elective. Seems to work really well at attracting people to the field.
The ride at uw on September 27 won't happen in person but there will apparently be many routes to ride around the u.s. Looking forward to riding with the uw alum, even if rmitbis remote. Should be fun. @TimothyKruserMD@jeffreybrower2@vinaigondi@EmilyDunnMD
@adapthyun @WashURadOnc During chart rounds, you don't have time to think. If you think, you're dead.
I had to kick the tires and light the fires this morning before conference headed into the danger zone.

For us at uw, srs is stable to increased. New sbrt cases have dried up presumably due to no biopsies but locally advanced is up. Overall, the link service is busier than average

We are humming along. Treated til 7 pm tonight. Consult volume is definitely up though by phone. Going to be tough in the summer when prostate and breast finally get treated
"...the Court's order, I fear, will result in massive disenfranchisement," Ginsburg wrote. "A voter cannot deliver for postmarking a ballot she has not received." Couldn't have said it better. Won't be voting this time.
