@Hertz Well I have to write one more. Someone from customer support reached out (hours later) to deal with our complaint. When I responded to the email, it bounced! The address doesn’t work! Seen you soon @Avis. Need a testimonial?
@Hertz last update. We’re in a car! Not the one we rented or the one they claimed they were prepping for us 50 minutes ago. Is this Schrodinger’s minivan? It both exists and doesn’t exist? Promised us a discount for our trouble that didn’t show up on the new contract.
@Hertz Gold Plus service in MD Annapolis airport is anything but. Car not ready even though scheduled pickup was over an hr ago. Where is the board with our names and assigned car? A hot mess. This is not how you run a “loyalty” program.
@RihardJarc@ravenloft43 He cannot compete in the scaling game. That ship has sailed. This is his only outlet. But don’t the “majors” have an advantage here with their huge AI teams?
Highly recommend this Rainmakers podcast about Joe Leimandt. A must listen for anyone investing in software and, really, tech in general. Joe invented boot camps?

$AMZN Audible is $14.99/mo worth one audiobook. $SPOT premium is $11.99/mo which includes access to 15 hrs/mo of access to 250,000 book titles. Audible is dead. Your margin is my opportunity.
Warren Buffett on the Peter Principle at work -- with lots of zeros
"If you take the CEOs of America's largest corporations, they do not know what their circle of competence is. That's one of the reasons they make so many dumb acquisitions. They rise to the top of the business because they're great salesmen, great production people or whatever.
All of a sudden, they're running a multi-billion dollar business and their job is to allocate capital and to buy businesses. They've never bought a business in their life. They don't know what it's all about.
So they usually do one of two things. Either they set up an internal department, hire a bunch of guys and have them tell him something to do. Of course, the guys know if they don't tell him something to do, then there will be no jobs. So you can imagine what activity takes place then. Or they go out and hire investment bankers who get paid by the transaction."
Let’s be clear, this will have no impact on GOOGL finances. Everyone will choose in the choice screen. That’s why I want my $20bn back. But it’s bad for consumers.
#ThisWeekatJustice@TheJusticeDept Govt updated filing in Alphabet antitrust case: “require Google to divest Chrome—a critical distribution point—to shield against self-preferencing”. What in the world are you talking about?
So AAPL can preinstall safari on iPhone and Mac. MSFT can pre install edge on PC. But only google cannot preinstall chrome…the browser everyone wants. I installed Chrome on my iPhone because it’s BETTER. Would have preferred that it was preinstalled.
