“You measure what you care about”
Thank you to NLC for allowing me to share about the equity work were committed to in St. Louis with our financial institutions!
The city of St. Louis, MO uses a tool called the Banking for Economic Equity (BEE) Scorecard to assess the equity impact of the city’s banking institutions, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
This Economic Mobility & Opportunity Month, hear from @AdamForSTL, Treasurer of @stlcitygov, on how the city measures its values – from leadership and client-facing diversity to equitable lending and beyond: https://t.co/iQHhAtzDrx #EconomicMobility
@blythebernhard@stltoday I guess if you factor in the credit cards she can no longer use to supplement her day-to-day life expenses, it’s really a pay cut.
What’s most criminal is that Keisha Scarlett was making over $260k and supplementing her lifestyle with over $100k in district funds while teachers are making $40k and using their take home pay to buy materials for their students and enhance their educational experience.
I ventured to Collinsville, IL where @NWSStLouis, TV meteorologists, municipal emergency prep peeps attended the Integrated Warning Team meeting. As founder of an energy assistance bistate charity, I was the guest speaker on how to further engage area communities. @leahwx4@fox2ch@SteveTempleton@scottontvKSDK also attended. Don’t expect a white Christmas in the STL area. #JustSayin
The Kiel Garage turns 30! The Kiel Garage opened in October of 1994! The garage was build to meet parking demand for the Blues and events in the area. Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, and Frank Sinatra were some of the first performers at the Kiel Center in October of 1994!
Former SLPS board members speak out:
“In times of crisis leaders cannot shut out the public. The lack of transparency surrounding the leadership change and new school year has eroded the trust of stakeholders and damaged the district’s reputation.” https://t.co/afOUClFlKq

After being wrongfully imprisoned for 34 years, Christopher Dunn and his wife Kira left on a road trip to California.
And so did @KatieKull1 and @LaurieSkrivan. A must-read from my talented colleagues @stltoday.
