Our video, filmed together with the church community of Tirley is now out. It celebrates their resilience, proactiveness and love for a church building which regularly suffers from flooding. @GlosHCT@IIC_@WorldMonuments@CofE_Churchcare@TewkesburyBCgov https://t.co/NOI3YhhvYZ
Many churches and countless listed buildings are reported destroyed by the disastrous flooding in Poland and Czechia. Below pictures from Kłodzko, Lower Silesia. @FRH_Europe@IIC_
Flooding in Lower Silesia, Poland, where I’m from seems as disastrous as the 1997 flood I experienced as a kid. People, including my friends, their property and heritage are victims. Below C16 bridge in Lądek Zdrój which ceased to exist a few hours ago #climatechange#floodpoland

3 years late (Covid!) but I finally made it to the tomb of St James in Santiago de Compostela, to say thanks to those who donated to the Stoke Orchard Wall Paintings Conservation Project. I managed to complete 120 km of Camino Ingles in 4 days 🙂 @GlosDioc https://t.co/RObbNFxSfR
Our third & last panel is on #CulturalHeritage practice & the #TripleTransformation of our society: green, digital & social, moderated by Jermina Stanojev from @HerkulKuLeuven. Do you think #heritage is being sufficiently taken into account when shaping the future of Europe?
Our third panel illustrated how closely connected the green, digital & social strands of the triple transformation in the #heritage ecosystem & beyond are. To tackle #ClimateChange, all 3 aspects must be comprehensively considered. #EuropeanHeritageSummit https://t.co/Wk14Ev3lcX

We’ve had 8 presentations centred around the concept of sustainability in relation to church buildings. Over sixty delegates from all over the country joined in - what turned out to be - a rather fascinating and thought-provoking event. @GlosHCT@CofE_Churchcare
The QI Architects and Surveyors Conference “Sustainable thinking for a sustainable future” took place today at Trinity Church, Cheltenham. It was organised by Gloucester DAC @GlosDioc with support of Hereford @HerefordDiocese , Oxford @oxforddiocese and Worcester colleagues
Adam from @GlosDioc on conservation of table tombs - one of the largest collections in the country. Every year a few dozen are being conserved. Managed to create a culture of conservation leadership in communities around these assets. #BigUpdate
