European here with AC on for the last couple of days.

It’s actually getting pretty normal in Poland to have AC. Nowhere near as common as in the US, but we also have homes which naturally stay much colder in the summer due to higher thermal mass.

Some new buildings have ground heat exchangers. Basically free AC in the summer and heating in the winter.
