A long while since I've posted on here - currently 114 days without a bet. Some days I try to kid myself that I would be fine just to have a 'fun' bet. Thankfully my restrictions are still in place ๐
70 days gamble free - I never really bet on horse racing but found Cheltenham a real trigger to want to bet. So happy I have restrictions in place otherwise I know I would have had a bet.
Cheltenham money back on losing bets as cash offer. Seems too good to be true right? For the disciplined, no. For people like me, yes. It never just stays at the free bet. Very clever marketing to get the average punters money.
50 Days Gamble Free - Do I miss waking up thinking about betting, chasing my losses, constantly on my phone - No.
Is this an easy journey - No.
Am I proud of myself - Yes
@AddictInvisible Me, 100%. It sounds daft but I'd always saying I'm going to quit betting this week. Then in would come my SkyBet weekly free bet and well its free so I might as well use it, right?
6 weeks gamble free. I don't know if its because its a milestone day but my urges to bet today have been really intense. Thankfully I have the measures in place to help me on my continued road to recovery.
@richiepaxton It wasn't so much the money lost but the how betting was making me feel. I'd spend full days none stop betting and it started to impact my mental wellbeing. Without restrictions I would fall back into the trap of thinking I haven't got a problem.
@ollylufc3 I've been there, its 'banter' with the lads that my acca has lost. Spending my night in the pub checking my bets while not actually been there.
@yordyiam I am not sure of your current situation (if you have measures in place to restrict your gambling) but I would recommend you just have a chat with @GamCare
Three weeks gamble free - Biggest buzz was going to the park with my son and seeing the happiness on his face. Little things like that you never notice when you are checking your phone constantly for an update on your bets (sad but true).
