I know what I'd say.
(12 year old me) -
"Well I'd think they were rich and live in a mansion."
(Present day me) -
"Well, yk we really just aren't in an optimal position yet, I'm waiting for a couple more years of compound interest to really feel like we've made it."
I'm thinking about this more and you should ask them what present day them thinks first and once you have that answer, ask them what their 12 year old self would say. This could really be eye opening for them.
@ramit Including employer match, my wife and I have a 48% savings rate on $147k income in a Midwest metro. This includes mid-term and long-term savings, 401k, HSA, IRA. We are 29 and 28 and 45% fixed costs.
We have our needs met and go on trips, dinner dates, coffee everyday.
@RomeovilleKid Week 17 vs the jaguars at home was a great crowd and the team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Does that factor into your decision making with GM and HC? Why change when butts are in seats?
@RomeovilleKid What factors led to the decision of keeping Chris Ballard and Shane steichen? Was there ultimatums given? For example, "Chris, show me a 3 year plan of how you will dig this organization out of this hole."
