the idea of doing the thing is not the same as actually doing the thing because the reality is very messy, chaotic and non-linear. It may not even feel like progress as it doesn't fit the cleaner idea of the thing.

A lot of self-help is at the same time helpful and not-helpful because it can prescribe you / point you in the direction / makes you try things, but what you experience in the process is something only you can feel and make sense of.

I do wonder though if you add burnout + no time + scroll it could also be about energy management as a lot goes into not feeling what’s happening inside + numbing devices + also losing touch with the inner voice.
