@masurge7@YomitheBA They're reactionaries and not progressives; reactionaries are bigoted extreme right conservatives clothed in pseudo progressive sloganeering- fake ideologues.
@Hamm6767@Oodayzway@UchePOkoye Is that another green snake in a green grass! When the chips are down and it's for your interest, you label us in the "South South" omo yibo.
@low_boast@VigourJrC@UchePOkoye How many Ikwerres benefitted from the abandoned properties?
The majority beneficiaries were Ijaws and those considered friends of the government. The govt. took over those properties and allocated them discretionally.
Let me educate you very quickly!
I will not waste my time debating with you on the distortion of facts you are deliberately using to deflect attention!
I will not make a video about the Odi, Gbaramutu, Isheagu, Okuama , Asaba, and massacres. But check the timeline and those who are in charge of these atrocities.
I will not discuss oil spills, environmental degradation, and the destruction of livelihoods across the Niger Delta.
Neither will I delve into the persistent political destabilization of the South-South, where ethnic divisions are exploited, one group is pitted against another, and different narratives are promoted to serve political interests.
I will leave you with a few questions. Let the facts speak for themselves.
Between the South-West and the South-East, which region or political bloc genuinely supports the long-term economic development of the Niger Delta?
1. Maritime opportunities: Which group supports opening up the Niger Delta’s coastal waterways and developing its maritime potential to connect the region to global trade? Knowing fully well that Properly developed ports could create hundreds of thousands of jobs, stimulate commerce, and attract significant investment.
2. Let’s talk about Port Harcourt’s reputation: Who has been responsibility for the persistent insecurity and negative perception of Port Harcourt, which have contributed to the so called “security report” that justifies relocation of international oil companies. Who benefits from their destabilization? Aba is the closest city to PH, whatever happens to the city affects Aba. Thus, if PH grows, it spill over to Aba, but if PH destabilizes, the companies relocate to Lagos. So between Aba and Lagos who want the betterment of PH?
3. Resource ownership: Which group supports the Niger Delta’s right to greater control and ownership of its natural resources, including the principle of 100% resource ownership?
4. Which political interests benefit from a system in which the Niger Delta remains a centre for oil and gas extraction without receiving commensurate investment in infrastructure, industrialization, and human development? And who benefits when insecurity and militancy persist instead of lasting peace and prosperity? Definitely not the neighboring states
5. Gas infrastructure and industrialization: which group laid gas pipelines and infrastructure that channels to Lagos, Agbara and other west African, rather than positioning Yenagoa, Warri, Calabar, Uyo as major hubs for gas processing, petrochemicals, and related industries?
Why should the region that produces so much of the country’s wealth remain underdeveloped while the industries that could transform its economy are established elsewhere?
6. Which group is behind the campaigns against using of Nest of Champions, to host Super Eagles matches? Shouldn’t the region’s facilities be promoted and utilized to attract tourism, investment, and national events?
7. Which group is responsible for misleading the people about the coastal road project? East -West Road remains abandoned. While ignoring maritime opportunities like the development of ports, shipping, shipbuilding, fisheries, logistics, and other industries that could transform the region.
8. Which of the group has committed more tangible resources to the Niger Delta’s economy by establishing industries , education, healthcare, and employment?
9. Which of these political blocs would be more willing to support a presidential candidate from the South-South? development? Use the GEJ case as a case study.
10. Which political bloc declared state of emergency to the most important city of the Niger Delta using flimsy reasons.
I could go on and on.
But thinking this your propaganda will somehow erode these facts is embarrassing.
You think you are the only one that is smart enough to dribble the country.
Post TINUBU go sweet!
LMAOO Ọkwala ụnụ!
JONATHAN, TINUBU; A TALE OF TWO NIGERIAN PRESIDENTS
In the run up to the 2011 Presidential elections, President @GEJonathan was running for office for the first time after he took over following the death of late President Yar'adua. The current NSA, Malam Nuhu Ribadu was the presidential candidate of the ACN then. The leader of the party then, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said referring to President Jonathan;
"A Drunk Fisherman, Who's Boat Is About To Capsize."
Take note, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was a sitting President.
The Jonathan's administration did not say or do anything. They did not arrest or harrass Tinubu. They saw it as him exercising his freedom of speech.
Now, Tinubu became president on May 29, 2023, and by 2024 he signed the Cybercrime Act into law, where Section 24 made provisions for Cyber Bullying, wherein says if you insult or criticise the president or any government official, you can be arrested and tried. Today, what we have under the man who enjoyed so much freedom of speech as an opposition leader, a supposed NADECO chieftain, a man who rose to power by criticising, insulting and protesting against others is intimidation, dictatorship and total state capture.
Just imagine anybody referring to Tinubu as, 'a man who's boat is about to capsize', that person would be charged for treason. They would say the person want to overthrow the Tinubu’s regime.
@Br33304Ign@UrantaIroanya@IbrahimlyW3@Manlike_ED Because the peoples of the Niger Delta, have been fed so much propaganda/narratives by South Western media & reinforced by their political proxies (proxies for state capture) in the region, that we take sentimental decisions against our overall interest. I'm a concerned Ogoni man
@UrantaIroanya@Br33304Ign@IbrahimlyW3@Manlike_ED Policies and politics of Nigeria to contain the rebels (Igbos and their "cousins")?
What were the under currents that killed the proposed NIMASA Shipyard project at Okerenkoko, Delta State under GEJ and who was/were the proxy(ies)?
@UrantaIroanya@Br33304Ign@IbrahimlyW3@Manlike_ED South to have viable Sea Ports?
If the Niger Delta becomes a major maritime hub, then by proximity/old Eastern regional structure it will also be a dominant economic center with robust FTZs. How's that in the self interest of the North/South West or the larger post-civil war...
@UrantaIroanya@IbrahimlyW3@Manlike_ED ... About 60% of the destination of all oil tankers plying the Gulf of Guinea is Nigeria and their major destination is the Niger Delta (over 70%). But the only 25 DWT PPPs (built by the Fed. Govt.) shipyard in Nigeria is in Lagos; Ports, we know our strategic exclusion.
@UrantaIroanya@IbrahimlyW3@Manlike_ED Our real enemies are ourselves (proxies) and our props; we don't strategically align based on overall long term group interests.
Nigeria accounts for over 65% of cargo ships thro' the Gulf of Guinea and about 70% of the containers ends up in the South East & "South South"...
