idk who needs to hear this but people are allowed to grow beyond regrettable things they’ve done. u do not have to remain the person u were at your lowest and u should not let anyone convince u that you aren’t worthy of being loved while becoming a better version of yourself

as someone who grew up a greasy goth teen in the middle of nowhere, hard agree with a lot of the commentary on alt cultures being pretty-fied, alongside questioning the current cultural need for every lifestyle and fashion choice needing to be "praxis"
historically there is maybe something to be said for countercultures actually being "counter-cultural" and the inherent politics of choosing to dress/live your life in a way that rejects social norms-
