AEMO CEO Daniel Westerman this morning delivered our keynote address at MEI Symposium 22, on paving the way to Australia's net-zero future.
The transcript is available now, with a recording to follow: https://t.co/xA5FSkcyMG

@GlenneDrover One of the reasons why @AllEnergyAU is great is the real experiences shared by presenters such as @SolarEdgePV on ESS operations. Good to have it back.
@_DanSc @GuideDogsVIC The GDV Board Charter has a solid discussion of risk management and other responsibilities. Scanning the replies to this thread suggests a need for an immediate Board meeting to correct the actions of the CEO. The risk of a drop in donations exceeding the grant must be considered
@simonahac Yes but there is negative feedback from cloud formation (reflect heat). Not good in any case, however, to increase the temperature of the atmosphere in the first place. The question came to me in the context of H2 use. Overview here (with -ve feedback): https://t.co/KjeIDMuHu5
@simonahac AFAIK, water vapour is self regulating - when concentration gets high enough it condenses into rain so not a greenhouse gas like CH4, NOx etc.
#Deakin have partnered with @ACCIONA_AU to create the @Ascend_wsc solar car, a car of the future with sustainability and technological innovation of engineering and design.
These things take time (and timing). The announcement reminds me of how close we came in Victoria to a world-leading marine energy policy but for a change of govt in 2010. Much of the hard work to put it together is still valid and is a useful reference: https://t.co/pb9okODjlX
Today we announced a big step towards renewable power in Victoria.
In a first for the nation, we're setting minimum targets for offshore wind.
That means that by 2032, over 1.5 million Victorian homes will be powered by renewable offshore energy.

@ProfPCDoherty For comprehensive information about EV impacts it is very worthwhile to follow @AukeHoekstra. A current thread correcting some misinformation: https://t.co/TzHzcwpF2b
No, EVs are NOT the new 'diesel scandal' waiting to happen @BjornLomborg & @DailyMailUK
I know I should not feed the trolls but I've completely had it with Bjorn Wormtongue Lomborg
I actually study this stuff so let me set the record straight (again)

@whereisdaz The “model” is to biochemistry what an Airfix plastic model plane is to a real one. Looks great to the casual observer from a distance but doesn’t fly.
