The Blue Peter Book Award has ended. As a winner, I'm sad. It gave children a vote and a voice and it was accessible to children who are not often included in literary spaces.
The closure has led to me deciding to do something very stupid.
I'm thinking of starting a prize.

I'm doing a panel on Sunday about prizes/awards, and I'll be announcing the shortlist for the @AdrienPrize just afterwards!
We're only doing a shortlist this year, after feedback from our first go. Also, as the purpose of the prize is to reward publishers who are ballsy enough
Publishers emailing me about @AdrienPrize submissions:
-disabled MC
-Traditionally published in the UK or Ireland between July 2022/July 2023.
-MC does not die.
-Deadline 1st of November, but I'm flexible.
That's it. No books need to be sent, I pay for everything.
Easy.
