23/08/2002 at around 9:50 PM – Four large blue orbs — plasma balls, or whatever we call them now — appeared to my sister and me at the exact moment we were having one of those classic “brother-sister moments,” gazing up at the stars. I had just said, “Look how many stars there are. There must be life out there,” when she noticed the lights and pointed them out to me, whilst saying “Are they UFOs?”.
We stood there in total shock as the orbs danced around each other — almost like massive fireflies — for about a minute, though it felt significantly longer. There was no sound at all.
Our dad had always been into UFOs, crop circles, and that kind of thing, so I wasn’t surprised when my sister tugged my arm and asked, “Should I get Dad?” I said yes. But as she began to move away, the lights suddenly scattered. I said something like, “Come back!” — and she did. Incredibly, the orbs resumed their dancing pattern as soon as she returned to my side. It was unbelievable, especially considering how large they were — they were probably only about 30 to 50 meters away from us.
Another 30 to 45 seconds passed (again, it felt much longer), and I told her, “Go get him.” This time, as she left, the orbs scattered again. The top and bottom ones began to shrink and dissolve into (what appeared to be) two actual stars — In the Bootes constellation. It was like the end of the display resulted in a sort of cross formation — The left and right orbs — shot off in opposite directions at an incredible speed.
By the time our dad made it outside, he caught the faint tail-end of the one that shot off to the right. Its blue light had faded, and what he saw was a golden smudge in the distance, slightly larger than a plane, moving rapidly across the sky.
Moments after, something in my mind cracked, split, opened (not sure how to describe it) — Possibilities I’d never considered before suddenly seemed real.
We told a family member a short while after the experience, someone who hadn’t seen anything. Despite the sincerity on our faces, he couldn’t believe us. That’s when I realised: no matter how real it was to us, most people would probably never truly believe it.
Since then, I’ve had four more strange experiences — none quite as dramatic. One came close, involving a disc. Two involved much smaller orbs. The most recent one was more mundane — formation flying, incredibly fast and completely silent — but nothing especially dramatic.
@RebelAdmiral what fantastic memories to share. I still am holding out hope.
Everyone should sign the petition if you haven’t already..
If only @elonmusk had his own studio like @JeffBezos, - we might get a renaissance in entertainment, or at least full eradication of the residual wokeness clearly present in @AmazonMGMStudio
I started watching SG-1 at age 15. I was the first in the family to start, but one by one they all joined me. Then one day, even my Dad joined. NOTHING on television held my Dad's interest. He never went to the movies. It was the first time I'd ever connected with him in this way. Not long after he started, he came home one day with the first season DVD box set, and the whole family started watching from the beginning. He kept buying the sets, until we caught up with the currently airing show, and then we watched like clockwork as a family every Friday night, with pizza and soda.
You have to understand, that is a CRAZY thing to type out about my Dad. He never did stuff like that. He was tough to connect with about something that wasn't mechanical or construction. I can't think of a single other fun thing he did with us that wasn't what a kid would consider "chores" or "work." My siblings and I treasured those Friday nights like nothing else. It was an entirely new experience, having something like that where he would quote the lines to you in the middle of the day (Teal'c lines were his favorite, especially the infamous "undomesticated equines" line).
My Dad has been buried for almost 8 years now. My oldest two kids barely remember him and the other two never met him. We recently watched both SG-1 and Atlantis as a family. It's been an emotional ride, sharing this with them yet wishing Grandpa was around to share it with them too. My kids ADORE Stargate. My girls have crushes on Daniel Jackson and John Sheppard. My youngest son wants to BE Jack O'neill. They cried when Daniel ascended the first time. They were over the MOON at the idea of a new series in the works to enjoy. I haven't had the heart to tell them the news that the whole thing has been called off.
Save Stargate!
@grok@EndWokeness Disproportionate is an understatement.
At least there was some accountability, and one police officer was politely informed not to be so ridiculous in the future🤦♂️
Let’s show them what the fans can do…
@AmazonMGMStudio you’ll soon realise this series original fan base would have been a huge hit!

Well this is a hastily cobbled together shit-take of conjecture and misdirection.
The author starts by misreading a grassroots marketing launch as a statement of exclusive intent. Come on. Announcing a series TO a fandom alongside its community leaders is standard PR; it's not proof that the show was designed exclusively FOR fandom. In fact, it was made clear from the start that, first and foremost, the series would function as an accessible entry point for new viewers...while still respecting canon. And, by the way, “Respecting canon” does not mean “requiring new viewers to be familiar with 350+ hours of existing Stargate programming” as this article implies.
The author proceeds to support their point by launching into fan fiction: "No plot details were revealed about the scrapped show, but I can easily imagine…” And they certainly do. What follows is a parade of clichés, a generic legacy-sequel checklist that the author has conjured up from nothing and pinned to the new show as predictive evidence.
Then comes the claim that Starfleet: Academy failed because the showrunners: "focused too much on paying tribute to the series' past.” Uh, wut? Yes, Starfleet: Academy did receive a fair amount of criticism, but strict adherence to canon wasn't on the list of grievances. This reads like a comment from someone who likely never even watched the show, much less perused the fan response.
They state: "Rebooting the cannon also would let the new Stargate showrunner bring back the Goa'uld, the franchise's most iconic villains…” No, it wouldn’t. Know why? Because the goa’uld... ARE CANON!!!!
The article concludes with a disconnected meditation on an old Stargate storyline with no relation to either the new show or the author’s own argument.
I want to say it was written by A.I., but surely A.I. would display more logical consistency than this.
The bodycam footage of Henry Nowak has just been released.
An 18-year-old who was stabbed FIVE TIMES called the police for help.
His attacker told officers Henry was a racist.
So they handcuffed the victim.
Henry told them over and over:
"I've been stabbed."
"I can't breathe."
"Please brother, I can't breathe."
An officer responded: "You've been stabbed, mate? I don't think you have."
Henry died in handcuffs.
The mainstream media has said NOTHING.
Where is the same outrage from when George Floyd died?
Watch this footage. Share it everywhere.
Pray for Henry’s family.
@TheProjectUnity I was burnt on one arm yesterday! Only outside for 2 hours. I’ve not had a sun burn since I was a kid and doused myself with liquid paraffin to get a tan.
Spent 3 months in summer in southern china last year - 33*c-38*c unless it was raining. No burns.
It’s very strange.
Trump Administration is soliciting advice about how to tell the public that “We Are Not Alone”
White House officials are consulting with religious leaders and seeking advice on the ontological shock of Disclosure, per NewsNation’s Ross Coulthart.
I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half.
Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.
