The first 'Made in India' Airbus C295 military transport aircraft has conducted its first test flight from the Final Assembly Line in Vadodara 🇮🇳, marking a milestone for Indian aviation and defence. This maiden test flight is a crucial step in the aircraft's post production testing process. As the first of 40 aircraft to be built in India, the test flight advances the programme's objective of delivering the first 'Made in India' C295 aircraft this year to the Indian Air Force.
A game changer in the Government of India's 'Make in India' vision, the C295 India programme is the first instance of a military aircraft being manufactured in India by the private sector. The programme's progress reflects the steady and dedicated work of Airbus, Tata Advanced Systems Limited and the several Indian MSMEs, which are manufacturing parts for the aircraft across India.
We thank the Indian Air Force, Ministry of Defence and Government of India, for their unwavering trust in us.
We are building the future of Indian aerospace.

In this regard, an offence has been registered at the Nodal Cyber Police Station, Maharashtra Cyber, vide FIR No. 36/2026 U/s 75(1)(iv), 75(3), 294, 353(2) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 r/w 67 Information Technology (IT) Act, 2000, against stand-up comedian Pranit More, Himanshu Jangra, Dr. Sejal Pawar, and other persons found involved, in connection with the publication and dissemination of allegedly obscene and objectionable content through online platforms and social media.
🚨 Centre issues advisory on growing cyber threat where criminals are using Artificial Intelligence to bypass security systems and target financial infrastructure.
💻 According to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs, cybercriminals are increasingly using AI to create realistic deepfake videos and synthetic identities to bypass facial authentication, KYC processes, and account security systems.
📱 Fraudsters often initiate contact via social media, job portals, dating platforms, or phone calls, collecting facial data through simple actions like blinking or speaking on camera.
🛡️ The government urges financial institutions to strengthen deepfake detection systems, while citizens are advised to secure biometric data, stay alert to suspicious activity, and report fraud via the national cybercrime portal.

The Supreme Court recognised homemakers as nation builders and held that the loss of domestic-care services must be treated as a distinct head of compensation. The Court fixed a notional monthly income of ₹30,000 for assessing such loss.
A bench of Justices Sanjay Karol and N. Kotiswar Singh emphasised the economic value of unpaid household work and expressed hope that the word ‘homemaker’ would now acquire the acronym ‘nation builder’.
“Housewives contribute to the household. They are nation builders. They build the nation. How do you assess that contribution and monetise it? The word ‘homemaker’ would now acquire the acronym of ‘nation builder’”, it observed.
The Court also stated that it had issued directions and expressed hope and trust that the Chief Justices of all High Courts would monitor the issue.
The Court further stated that loss of domestic care should be recognised as an additional head of compensation, acknowledging the substantial but often unremunerated contribution of homemakers to families and society.
95% of the universe is invisible.
We know dark matter exists, but we still don't know what it is.
What if the clue is hidden in the oldest light in the universe?
In this conversation, TIFR researchers Harsh Mehta and Prof. Suvodip Mukherjee explain how tiny distortions in the Cosmic Microwave Background—the afterglow of the Big Bang—could reveal the presence of elusive axion-like particles, one of the leading dark matter candidates.
Their work, which proposes a new way to search for these particles using a diffuse signal spread across the microwave sky, was awarded Third Prize at the Buchalter Cosmology Prize 2025.
🎥 Watch to discover how scientists are using the universe itself as a laboratory to search for the invisible.
💬 If you could ask one question about dark matter, what would it be?
