@HDRgameAnalysis I like how bright it is for default settings. Basically most people don't need to do anything except turn on HDR on a desktop and it would look great. Yes, peak brightness technically will be too much at 50 by default, but it's not a critical issue for average user

@FilippoTarpini that's also why there are many posts on LG TV forums about how DTM looks better than HGIG. Obviously, when the sun is shining in your room, 200 nits would be unplayable. And I agree that it's too dark for most uncontrolled setups

@FilippoTarpini one more reason, even if HDR implementation is proper: 200 nits paper white is just not enough for most people. everyone is used to uniformly bright full screen SDR at max brightness sliders on monitors

especially because average people don't have controlled ambient lighting lvl

also one of the fans in 5090 started to rattle at high speeds. RMA is not really an option (they will give me money back but 5090's are way more expensive now than when I've bough it) so I ordered replacement fan from aliexpress. now only need to not kill GPU while replacing it

@neutrinotrap печаль. мне, кстати, кажется вольво хорошо научились в ОТА, по-началу было много жалоб на софт, но они с хорошей периодичностью завозят новые фичи и фиксы, причем явно читают реддит и делают самые реквестед штуки

летом вот жду апдейт до V2L на который я вообще не рассчитывал
