Advocating for bringing our Afghan Interpreters and other Locally Employed Civilians of the Canadian Armed Forces (and families) to their new homes in CANADA.
The political will isn’t there to bring home our Afghan allies and their families.
All I can ask now, after 1.5 years of inaction is

As Afghans who risked their lives to help coalition forces are at risk of facing violent retribution, less than a 10th of the 40,000 Afghans Canada pledged to help have arrived.

The govt keeps failing those who served 🇨🇦 in Afghanistan. Due to Liberal-made immigration backlogs, Afghan interpreters and other support staff are left in limbo and their lives are at risk. The minister refuses to give any timeline on when the 40k refugees will come to 🇨🇦.
There are hundreds of Afghan interpreters like Ahmad and their families stranded in Pakistan helped by an army of Cdn veterans @AfgCdnInterp@VTNCanada working hard to get the Cdn Government to do something.
On this Remembrance Day, Afghan-Canadian Interpreters would like to thank the brave and dedicated Soldiers, Interpreters, Locally Engaged Staff and the Families of ALL those that served, past and present, and recognise their sacrifice.
Thank you
