How can wearing a mask help reduce the spread of COVID-19? COVID is transmitted through respiratory droplets: think about how you "see your breath" when it's cold outside. Though we can't *see* the droplets on warm days, wearing a mask prevents spreading the virus to others.
"Epidemiology is often in the public eye, making it a magnet for criticism... These criticisms should ... be welcomed by scientists. We all learn best from our mistakes&there is much that epidemiologists can do to increase the reliability&utility of their findings". @ken_rothman
I want to highlight the story of Hydroxychloroquine, as although the evidence is shifting against this drug being effective in COVID-19, it is a complete failure in the scientific method, and the way clinical research is allowed to function

For those pointing to countries like S.Korea, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, Denmark to say there will be no second wave in the UK or US- take a deeper look at their incredible public health response & infrastructure. None sat back & said ‘Let’s see what happens.’
This is my first attempt at a #tweetorial, so taking up something relatively simple for it… Case-Control Studies. Let me begin with a reminder of one of the most classic #CCStudies of all times, where study 7 patients led to a conclusive finding! 1/14
It isn't good enough to feel bad.
It isn't good enough to care because racism is trending.
It isn't good enough to be non-racist.

This country certainly has no shortage of heroines
I found this post somewhere on FB, entitled:

Just learned our 9y/o did an experiment on us. Lost tooth, told no one for 3d, kept tooth under his pillow. No $. Then he tells us he lost the tooth, next night there is money under his pillow. Then confronted us with his scientific evidence that the tooth fairy isn't real.
It’s #InternationalWomensDay. There was a time not long ago that women couldn’t vote, or open credit cards without their husband’s signature, or compete in the Olympics, or do their jobs without being harassed. That time is up. #TimesUp
Dear @filmfare, it's 2018! How long will you continue the caste divide between Hindi films? Why are #Newton, #MuktiBhavan, #ADeathInTheGunj, #Gurgaon, #Trapped, #GKuttaSe not nominated best film category? In what way are the nominated films better than the six I've mentioned? https://t.co/qgKFqqCySS
