Our team in Namayingo is making great strides in collecting citizen-generated data to strengthen public accountability and investment in education. We are working in Namihinya, Lugaga, Buchimo, and Namayuge primary schools and surrounding households to gather vital information through school, pupil, household, and community questionnaires. This initiative empowers local voices, promotes equity, quality, and educational relevance, and informs data-driven policy decisions. Special appreciation goes to our dedicated community advocates and partners.

Yesterday, in partnership with the Initiative for Social and Economic Rights @ISERUganda, we supported a successful Training of Community Advocates (CAs) in Namayingo.
We equipped CAs with skills to use our Citizen-Generated Data (CGD) collection tool to collect grassroots data and amplify citizen voices.
This initiative enhances citizen participation, informing government planning and budgeting, especially primary education financing.

In partnership with @usdc3, @CSBAGUGANDA & with technical support from @AgdhiOrg, we are rolling out the Citizens Generated Data (CGD) Tool to be utilised to collect data on public primary education delivery in Yumbe, Sheema & Namayingo districts by our Community Advocates.
The data collected through the
CGD is essential in supplementing @GovUganda@Educ_SportsUg & @StatisticsUg data on public primary education delivery. Since the data reflects the actual needs and experiences of the communities that utilise schools delivering public education, it is a valuable resource for governments, CSOs, Development Partners and other stakeholders in facilitating effective education legal & policy making, planning & resource allocation.
We are grateful for the support extended to us by the District Education & Community Development Departments of Sheema, Yumbe & Namayingo District Local Governments in training our community structures on the CGD tool.
