Today, @usdc3 engaged Sheema district stakeholders in a bi-annual meeting to 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.

In his opening remarks, @CSBAGUGANDA ED @JuliusMukunda appreciated the participants for attending this meeting as "Social Protection is a human right"

He has encouraged that child protection financing must be anchored in clear parameters, strong oversight, and alignment with the national budget cycle to ensure effective implementation. For Uganda, delivering on commitments requires defined actions, measurable indicators, and accountable systems that track progress and impact for children and families.”

In addition, strengthened collaboration between @Parliament_Ug and Civil Society Organizations is essential to champion and sustain child-focused financing reforms.

@usdc3 and @KCHuganda conducted a training for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities in Nakivale Refugee Settlement.
69 caregivers & parents were equipped with practical basic rehabilitation skills to support functional independence of children with disabilities.
