The problem is that most therapists are liberal women in their 30s with no real insight or life experience. People say that more men should go to therapy, but no self-respecting man is going to bring his problems to a woman his own age or younger. If I ever went to therapy (which I probably wouldn’t) it would have to be a man at least 15 years older than me with some gravitas and wisdom.

@uncledoomer I think a lot of men would actually benefit from therapy if more therapists were men in their 60s+ who could impart their knowledge and life experience, rather than 35yo women who nod and make sympathetic sounds and occasionally regurgitate a few pages of the psychology textbook
