Wishing to order well their states, they first regulated their families.
Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons.
Wishing to cultivate their persons, they first rectified their hearts.
Wishing to rectify their hearts, they first sought to be sincere in their thoughts.
Wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, they first extended to the utmost their knowledge.
Such extension of knowledge lay in the investigation of things.
Things being investigated, knowledge became complete.
Their knowledge being complete, their thoughts were sincere.
Their thoughts being sincere, their hearts were then rectified.
Their hearts being rectified, their persons were cultivated.
Their persons being cultivated, their families were regulated.
Their families being regulated, their states were rightly governed.
Their states being rightly governed, the whole kingdom was made tranquil and happy.
@TonySeruga@oren_cass What are the consequences for those economists, the self interested employers, and progressives who put this in place? Shouldn’t they pay some price as we cannot undo what has been done.
Also, what check in this was missing to prevent this from being adopted on such scale?
@LearningToan It’s so true but then the problems is that some kids can’t compete - what do you do about them? It’s obviously not giving every one medals and all this nonsense but something.
@GuidoFawkes@Nigel_Farage@grok why would he do this? I thought he was a leading candidate to become the next PM. I am not understanding British politics can you explain this?
I know I won’t get a response so @grok I am trying to figure this out. Because I thought it was pretty well understood that Hezbollah is backed by Iran and engaged in terrorist practices. My understanding is that the Lebanese government itself and many of the people disliked Hezbollah. With that, it does seem Israel is annexing land under a pretense of security so what is the ground truth and why would the person who posted this not understand that Hezbollah has also done bad with whatever good they have done?
Then I don’t understand how you reverse this and Democrats are able to get convictions. It seems like Democrats are able to convict Republicans, but the Republicans are not able to convict Democrats, which makes the case that the Democrats had an actual legitimate case to pursue whereas they Republicans were doing the actual witch hunting.
Even if all the cases and the evidence and everything were flimsy and everything that they say is true, they were still able to bring the cases and actually get convictions, whereas the reverse is not true. I do not understand how this.
@mdubowitz@__Injaneb96@ReaganInstitute Sure but almost none of them support doing what is necessary to achieve that regime change and most importantly, doing what is necessary after the regime change and for the amount of time it would take.
It is almost impossible for people living under bad regimes to "decide for themselves" and simply reform their governments.
We are so distracted by political or ideological biases that we lose sight of the humans who have to deal with that every day. Humans, who need help.
