Nufarm has doubled their underlying net profit in the first half of 21/22. Meanwhile Incitec Pivot announces record breaking profit of 384 million (up 10 fold) in the same half year. But hey the price rises to farm crop protection have all been caused by lack of product/supply.
@agronomistag@Glenn_SoilAgro You don’t need research to sell either product. If i have a client asking for independent trial results i will just move on to their neighbour. “It’s only $10/ha works most times” combine that with a loss they can’t see or measure and it stokes a fair bit of fear spending
@Oscarthefarmer@farmersgrowit How many chemicals does the APVMA need to review/cancel/restrict before you fellas march. It’s always around the same a suite of new agency products hit the market. Completely unrelated though
@agrobaz@cropmad@MattMcDonald013 Just pointing out that spraying 30L/ha with an 01 is in breach of the “legislated obligation to prevent product movement beyond your boundary”
Not my words 🧐
Elders shareholders voted against giving the CEO $1m worth of free shares so Elders' board has given him the balance in cash instead

Anyone else had a gutsful with RRN numbers Syngenta are requesting to sell Reflex. Any other company would just adjust their label with the APVMA to reflect the increased recropping periods. Not force the customer and retailer to do the work to cover their arse! #justsellterrain
@4FarmersBill Bill I think you will find that farmers who bought early will have price protection on those early purchases. Very rarely are farmers “stitched up” by suppliers, quite the opposite IMO
Anyone stuck with fertiliser stock better push it onto the clients this week. China just announced Phosphate export policy. Urea export policy to be announced soon. Best to use “supply is going to be short” rather than “price is going up”. For me more tips follow me on the tok
@CropDoctor54@mickswarb@WeedSmartAU@GRDCSouth@FMCANZ Bixlozone whilst new has a sister herbicide.Clomazone has been studied a lot for its drift properties. In notill instances they have found 43% less chemical in the soil than conventional systems. (Mills,Witt,Barrett). It behaves different with straw than in lab where VP is tested
@Ashley_Jacobs92@agrobaz@congreve_mark@robbert115 Cheap Chinese products usually get named and shamed. When results aren’t published it’s usually because one of the big players were poor performing
@oldfield_ben@lingy_smith@Ashley_Jacobs92@SteveLamb6@CaptainCanola They are completely liable. Negligence very easy to proof in the case of a direct claim on the label that is contrary to the actual purity. It’s their defence mechanism to make it seem otherwise. They won’t pay up unless you force their hand. No one pays if you ask nicely
Any chemical factories burn down or any 20 year old actives happen to be short this year? With prices in most chemicals coming down I need some new content to justify my high margins. The 300 series ain’t cheap!
👍 Glyphosate needs days to fully translocate.
Best thing to add to gly...is more gly. (And drop partners / adjuvants that reduce uptake & translocation).
Becomes more important as resistance emerges.
Gly alone, fb everything else in the double knock needs to become the new norm.
