My office is at SNA and our parking lot abuts the air field fence. One sunny summer's day there was a middle-aged plane spotter, with fair skin, in a chair by the fence with binoculars and a pen & paper. My second time to the lot he was standing in the (still hot) shade of a large hangar. He was a Englishman and his daughter had dropped him off to plane-spot for a few hours. I invited him up and hosted him in our conference room with cold drinks and snacks. I wish I'd had sunscreen, because he was not built for the our local sun.
