💔 I urgently need a water tank for my family. Summer has arrived, and we still have no water tank to store water. Access to water is becoming more difficult every day. Any donation or even sharing this post could make a huge difference for us. 🙏🚰

“The Survivors Circle estimates as many as 15,000 Indigenous people have been sterilized without their consent since the 1890s, some as recently as last year.” #IndigenousMonth
We've been in our apartment for a full year now. Normally we'd be so disgusted by poor management or shitty neighbours we'd be ready to pack up and gtfo, but we're both quite content here. I hope we can hang on to this home for a long time.

The entire reason illnesses like fibro & ME often have no definitive diagnostic process or treatments is because people constantly dismiss them as purely psychological, and thus curable with therapy, and don't bother to put any effort into meaningful research.
This whole thread is now proving the point of protectiveness of the illness narrative!
I’m not saying you aren’t suffering. I’m saying these disorders have a deeper psychological origin and should be treated as such before it becomes your identity.
Looking forward to all the cishet assholes losing their shit this month over some flags and people having the audacity to exist outside their bubbles of lies and shame.
16mo post-covid and I still have:
-spots from hives on my forearms
-breathlessness after basic activities like crouching or walking from room to room
-muscle fatigue after any movement
-debilitating fatigue
-PEM that takes weeks to recover from
-cognitive issues
There is a level of financial fear that comes with chronic illness that most healthy people never have to think about.
You’re paying more money to survive while your body is simultaneously making it harder to earn money.
Because eventually it’s not just symptoms you have to worry about.
Every flare up has consequences attached to it.
Missed work.
Reduced income.
Medical bills.
Recovery time.
Medications and copays.
People talk about chronic illness like it only affects health, but for a lot of people it slowly affects financial stability, independence, and your entire sense of security too.
