@ianwhite21 And scrap the arts? Don't get me wrong, what Michaela do is impressive for their students but if all schools did that, the arts would cease to exist. Schools like Michaela are great for students who want a limited curriculum but we also need schools with a broad curriculum.

@naomicfisher Good behaviour is a requirement on lots of trips. If we go to the theatre to see a musical they will kick the whole school party out if one person is disruptive. That has to be taken into consideration on trips.

@peterrhague It's not a tax on parents, private schools do not need to raise fees, just find savings. State schools have been required to do that for 14 years. Were you outraged then?

@BellaWallerstei And if you had gone to state school, maybe your family would have seen their importance and been compelled to vote in a way that improves them. This outrage that rich people might need to move to state schools is boring, private schools are not a right.
