If the worst does happen, they may try to claim it was from natural causes or old age. My father, when he went to prison 3 years ago, was about the fittest and healthiest 70 year old man you could possibly find. He had no underlying health issues (despite being shot in the leg when the regime tried and failed to have him killed in an assassination attempt).

His health is deteriorating because of the inhumane treatment he has been subjected to in prison, which the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture has repeatedly stated amounts to torture.

Again, make no mistake - the regime will be responsible if he is killed in prison.

No one has seen or heard from my father since August, when he explicitly said that he was being tortured and that the regime was trying to kill him like Egypt’s government did Morsi. The UN Special Rapporteur on torture has repeatedly stated that his treatment amounts to torture. Pakistan’s fascist regime, led by military dictator Asim Munir, continue to ignore the Supreme Court order from August for my father to be assessed and treated at the private Shifa International Hospital, as well as for regular access to family visits and access to his lawyers. It is clear that they are trying to kill him as he is by far the most popular political figure in the country, and they fear him. If the worst happens, no one should make any mistake who is responsible. It is Asim Munir with the approval of the illegitimate Pakistani government. Every government that continues to legitimise this regime will be complicit in this and the resulting chaos and destabilisation it causes in the region. No state that is engaging in friendly relations with this fascist Pakistani regime can truly claim to uphold the values of democracy or human rights.

Noreen Niazi, 70, has been detained for more than a month under Pakistan’s public-order law. Today, she was transferred to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology after suffering heart issues.

Her nephew says the family learned about it through social media, rushed to the hospital, and found police blocking them from seeing her. The door to the ward is even guarded and chained shut!!

What is her condition? Why weren’t they informed? Why can’t they see her?

Keeping a family in the dark while their 70-year-old relative is hospitalized from detention is deeply disturbing.

This case of lawfare has been orchestrated by the military establishment, working in tandem with its political proxies and allied media, who have silenced opposition by resorting to the arrest and even assassination of dissenting voices, as in the case of Arshad Sarif. The Pakistani deep state have consistently undermined Mr Imran Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, despite their considerable lead in the opinion polls. Indeed, Mr Khan has already been the subject of an assassination attempt, from which he narrowly escaped with injuries. " ایران کے بارے میں میری تشویش یہ ہے کہ مجھے یقین نہیں ہے کہ آیا تمام ممالک اس صورتحال کی سنگینی کو سمجھتے ہیں اگر ایران کے ساتھ کوئی تنازعہ ہوتا ہے۔ لوگ یہ نہیں سمجھتے کہ یہ عراق جیسا نہیں ہونے والا، بلکہ یہ اس سے کہیں زیادہ بدتر ہو سکتا ہے۔ اس کے پاکستان کے لیے انتہائی شدید اور نقصان دہ نتائج ہوں گے۔ اسلام میں شیعہ عنصر بہت متحد ہے اور ان میں سنی مسلمانوں کے مقابلے میں شہادت کا احساس بہت زیادہ ہوتا ہے۔ اگرچہ فضائی بمباری اور ائرفیلڈز کو نشانہ بنانے کی صورت میں ابتدائی جنگ شاید مختصر ہو، لیکن اس کے بعد کے نتائج سے متعلق میری اصل پریشانی یہ ہے کہ بہت سے لوگ اس کی گہرائی کو پوری طرح نہیں سمجھتے۔ میں سختی سے اس بات پر زور دوں گا کہ اس طرح کی کوئی دوسری فوجی صورتحال یا تنازعہ نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔ پاکستان پچھلے 15 سالوں میں جو کچھ جھیل چکا ہے اس کے بعد ہماری سرحدوں پر کسی بھی نئے تنازعے کی کوئی گنجائش نہیں ہے۔ ہم اس حوالے سے کچھ بھی کرنے کو تیار ہیں، اور اگر اس میں پاکستان کوئی بھی مثبت کردار ادا کر سکتا ہے تو ہم یہ بات پہلے ہی ایران کو تجویز کر چکے ہیں۔" عمران خان

علی وزیر کے سامنے امیدوار کھڑا نہیں کیا کہ پشتون قوم پرستوں کو آئسولیٹ کرنے کی بجائے قومی دھارے میں لایا جائے۔ ثمر بلور کے ضمنی الیکشن میں امیدوار کھڑا نہیں کیا کہ اسکا شوہر دہشتگردی کا شکار ہوا ہے۔ اختر مینگل نے اعتراف کیا کہ عمران خان نے 400 لاپتہ بلوچ افراد بازیاب کروائے۔ گلالئی اسماعیل کے والد کو باہر جانے کے لیے مدد دی گلالئی کا شکریے والا ٹویٹ آج بھی بطور ثبوت موجود ہے۔

ہر جماعت نے عمران خان کے خلاف بار بار لانگ مارچ نکالے، کسی لانگ مارچ پر کریک ڈاون نہیں ہوا کہیں تشدد نہیں ہوا ، کبھی ورکرز کے گھر نہیں توڑے۔ نواز شریف نے بیمار ہونے کی ایکٹنگ کی تو ترس آگیا اور نواز شریف فیصل واڈا کے کتے کے خون کا سیمپل دے کر باہر چلا گیا۔ مطیع اللہ جان کو فوج نے اٹھایا تو فوری بازیاب کروایا۔

غلطیاں کمیاں کمزوریاں کوتاہیاں بھی رہیں لیکن ایسی مثالیں آپ کو پاکستان کی اسی سالہ تاریخ میں کہیں نہیں ملیں گی۔ المیہ یہ رہا کہ شاید ہی ان میں سے کوئی ایسا ہو جس نے بعد میں عمران خان کو ڈسا نہ ہو۔
