If you ever get a chance to move abroad, do it. Don't think twice.

This is especially true if you are a General Category student, who competes on merit.

See reservation & all is not going away, irrespective of which political party comes to power.

As resources shrink, freebies will expand.
So don't pin your hopes on politics.

Your only legit defense is your hard-work & money that you make. You gotta create opportunities for yourself. The state will not do it for you.

First, become financially strong. Living abroad, allows you to attain financial freedom much faster.

Once that is done, you can always move back to India, if/when you like.

There are 23 IITs.

So, why not divide them completely by category.. ?

• 12 IITs exclusively for students who clear the Open-category cutoff and EWS students.
• 6 IITs exclusively for OBC-category students.
• 5 IITs exclusively for SC/ST students.

And if this is truly about representation, let the faculty and staff in each IIT also belong to the same categories as the students.

No mixed standards. No arguments over quotas. No victimCard on Caste Discrimination .

Let each category experience its own system in its entirety.

I strongly oppose the charges against Prof. Suryanarayana Doolla of IIT Bombay under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

My background: I belong to the Devendra Kula Vellalar (DKV) community, classified as SC. I grew up in deep rural poverty and witnessed the suffering of my people first-hand. I was educated thanks to broad-minded people from many communities.

I studied Electronics at NIT Tiruchirappalli, worked at C-DOT Bengaluru, and then at Intel in India and the US, where I rose to Engineering Director and Senior Silicon Architect, responsible for high-speed interconnects vital to modern CPUs and GPUs. I hold multiple patents in this field.

I share this to make clear that I know what it means to come from an SC community and rise through hard work and commitment.

Our DKV community has taken a principled, voluntary stand not to file SC/ST cases against anyone. We have seen how cases under this Act are weaponised, and how that deepens enmity on the ground.

On that basis, I oppose the misuse of this Act in this case. The case against Prof. Doolla must be withdrawn. This matters for the future of SC/ST students and for our nation.

The incident at IIT Mumbai serves as a prime example of why individuals with successful careers outside of India should not be swayed by any politician's emotional appeals to nationalism, patriotism, love for the country, or homeland.

One fabricated case could ruin your entire thriving career, and no politician would offer any sympathy, even though they would undoubtedly visit the individual who brought the false accusation against you.

Indian politicians prioritize political gain over ethical concerns, even at society's expense, which they can capitalize on every five years.

क्या एक दलित को फोन ले जाने अनुमति नहीं होनी चाहिए? क्या ऐतिहासिक प्रताड़ना के कारण उसको ओपन मोबाइल परीक्षा देने की अनुमति नहीं होनी चा���िए?

आज एक ब्राइट स्टूडेंट, जो जेट इंजन बना सकता था AI से पूछ कर, हमारे बीच इसलिए नहीं रहा क्योंकि उससे पहले ही चरण में रोक लिया गया। मोदी एक्ट इसीलिए बना ही है।

Some future PM of India will enter office with the mindset that he only has 5 years in office and doesn't give a shit about re-election or his party's electability in state elections. India will see its boldest reforms then.

What India has now is someone who wants to win the next general election and every state election till then, and be PM for basically forever. So he will not make any disruptive move and backpedal at the slightest pushback, and who thinks glacial progress is compensated for with "stability," even if at the cost of huge political concessions to pressure groups and the opposition.

This is not a good enough deal for an aspirational Indian who wants to experience prosperity within his lifetime (and not at some distant post-retirement age).
