@ukrunchat Iβm looking for advice - My HR for a hard 5k might have peaked at 173 bpm 6 months ago, now I struggle to break 161bpm whilst the effort feels the same! (And I get a faster time) is this because Iβm fitter?! Can your max HR decline with fitness? #ukrunchat
Hi @russell_runner, Iβm struggling to get my HR above 161 bpm no matter how hard Iβm able to push my legs (they give up after a while)...I would hit 173 bpm ish on a hard 5k 6 months ago...I have been training well since then, just wondering if this is because Iβm fitter?
@UKRunChat Thanks - it makes sense. Itβs just the effort for 161pbm feels high! I used to run a half marathon at that 161 bpm and now thatβs my 5k heart rate...maybe I need a rest and then I can hit a 5k with more effort?

Thank you for all the support @BorisJohnson, @RishiSunak & team. This is the first time Iβve felt like a British government is fully focussed on doing whatβs right for UK citizens and businesses #FaithRestoring in politicians
@Markwri21921120 Lower right leg - feels more than muscular and have had it on and off for a couple of weeks. Done a load of physio but I just need to stay off it. Hitting the bike instead for now. Howβs your foot?
@Markwri21921120 @runr_uk@UKRunChat@parkrunUK@clifton Lost a bit of ground over the last couple of weeks - holiday and other commitments, but should bounce back pretty quick ππ»
